4% Pure Retinol Peel or 6% Pure Retinol Peel Protocol

Treatment Protocol

The most suitable candidate for this more active retinoid treatment are those with normal to resilient skin and those who have previously experienced our Advanced Treatment Booster and tolerated it well. This treatment provides dramatic and rapid rejuvenation of the skin. By providing additional antioxidants within the formula, the skin is further protected from free radical damage. Skin is visibly smoother, brighter, and more evenly toned. Note: 6% Pure Retinol Peel is for physicians’ use only.

4% Pure Retinol Peel (10 foil packettes per box), and 6% Pure Retinol Peel (10 foil packettes per box)

Key Ingredients

  • Marigold Extract is a skin calming antioxidant that aids in skin rejuvenation.
  • Olive Fruit Oil is an antioxidant that also aids in the penetration of other actives within the formula.
  • Retinol is a form of vitamin A that is converted to retinoic acid in the skin. It works to repair photodamaged skin, acne, and other sluggish skin conditions. It helps to normalize cell turnover, increase collagen deposition, and bind moisture in the skin. It inhibits melanogenesis by limiting the transfer of melanosomes from the melanocytes to the keratinocytes.
  • Silybum Marianum Fruit Extract is the genus name for the extract from Milk Thistle and is a powerful antioxidant, provides anti-inflammatory action, and has a protective effect against UVA-induced oxidative stress. It suppresses UVB-induced skin edema and the formation of sunburn cells.
  • Tocopherol the pure form of vitamin E, is an excellent antioxidant and emollient. Vitamin E is a fat-soluble vitamin and the major antioxidant that protects the lipids in the body, including cell membranes, from oxidation.

Cleanse

1. Facial Wash Oily/Problem – Cleanse the area of treatment thoroughly. Rinse and pat dry.

Prep

2. Smoothing Toner – Apply with a cotton pad to prep the skin. Allow the skin to dry. This product may sting or tingle on some individuals. Assess sensitivity by asking the patient, “On a scale of one to ten, ten being extremely active, how do you rate this sensation (or feeling)?”

Correct

3. Customize the protocol with a combination of corrective daily care product to address your patient’s particular concerns.

Treat

4. Using a cotton-tipped applicator, apply Skin Procedure Ointment around the orbital bone, nostrils, and the vermilion border to avoid product migration.

5. 4% Pure Retinol Peel or 6% Pure Retinol Peel – Open the foil packette and dispense the peel into gloved hands. Gently spread the product over the area of treatment, keeping the application even and thin. Use the scale of 1 to 10 to gauge sensitivity. Fan the skin to keep the patient cool. Most patients will not have any sensitivity to this professional treatment upon application; rather, they will experience a soothing sensation, followed by a higher degree of visible exfoliation for a week to 10 days.

Hydrate & protect

6. ReBalance and the appropriate PCA SKIN® broad spectrum SPF product – Complete the treatment with this combination to calm, hydrate and protect the skin from UVA and UVB exposure.

7. Hyaluronic Acid Lip Booster – Finish with a liberal application to improve hydration and reduce the appearance of lip lines.

Note: Apply the appropriate PCA SKIN® broad spectrum SPF product prior to applying Hyaluronic Acid Lip Booster to protect the lips from UVA and UVB exposure.
