Therapeutic Mask Treatment Protocol

Treatment Protocol

PCA SKIN® offers five results-oriented masks that treat a wide range of skin types and concerns, making them a great addition to the treatment room. Our masks show visible results immediately after application. These therapeutic masks can help patient’s work up to a chemical peel, can be performed between peel treatments, or be used in the same treatment as a chemical peel.

Here you will find the professional treatment protocol that is appropriate for each mask. When applying the selected mask, please follow the specified application method for that mask, as noted in the protocol below.

Cleanse

1. Facial Wash Oily/Problem – Cleanse the area thoroughly. Rinse and pat dry.

Prep/degrease

2. Smoothing Toner – Apply with a cotton pad to prep (degrease) the skin. Allow the skin to dry. This product may sting or tingle on some individuals. Assess sensitivity by asking the patient, “On a scale of one to ten, ten being extremely active, how do you rate this sensation (or feeling)?”

5. After removing the mask, customize the protocol with a combination of corrective daily care products to address your patient’s particular concerns and skincare goals.

6. Calming Balm – Using a fan brush or gloved hands, apply a thin layer to the area of treatment. Calming Balm can be left on the skin for additional hydration and to soothe the skin, or excess can be removed with cotton pads moistened with Nutrient Toner.
