Advanced Photoaging with Significant Hyperpigmentation

Daily Care Regimen

This regimen is designed to help minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and promote an even skin tone. The products used focus on the appearance of both concerns simultaneously for optimal results.

Note: Mild irritation may initially be experienced with use of the retinol product in this protocol and is not a sign of a negative complication. Introduce slowly, starting at once or twice a week and building up to every other night or nightly, depending on tolerance.

C&E Advanced with Hexylresorcinol and Silymarin (net wt 1 oz/28g tube); Intensive Brightening Treatment: 0.5% pure retinol night (net wt 1 oz/29g tube)

Morning:

  1. Cleanse with Pigment Bar®. Rinse with warm water and pat dry.
  2. Apply one to two pumps of ExLinea® Peptide Smoothing Serum to areas of apparent facial wrinkling and laxity.
  3. Spot-treat areas of hyperpigmentation with Pigment Gel® HQ Free.
  4. Apply a pea-sized amount of C&E Advanced to the face and neck to minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
  5. Pat a pea-sized amount of Ideal Complex® Revitalizing Eye Gel or Ideal Complex® Restorative Eye Cream around the delicate eye area and directly to the eyelid to reduce the appearance of dark circles, puffiness, fine lines and wrinkles.
  6. Apply the appropriate PCA SKIN® broad spectrum SPF product for daytime moisture and broad spectrum UV protection.
  7. For the lips, apply Hyaluronic Acid Lip Booster to improve hydration and reduce the appearance of lip lines.

Note: Apply the appropriate PCA SKIN broad spectrum SPF product prior to applying Hyaluronic Acid Lip Booster to protect the lips from UV exposure.

Evening:

  1. Cleanse with a small amount of Creamy Cleanser. Rinse with warm water and pat dry.
  2. Apply one to two pumps of ExLinea® Peptide Smoothing Serum to areas of apparent facial wrinkling and laxity.
  3. Spot-treat areas of hyperpigmentation with Pigment Gel® HQ Free.
  4. Apply one to two pumps of Total Strength Serum to the face and neck to minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
  5. Apply a pea-sized amount of Intensive Brightening Treatment: 0.5% pure retinol night to the entire face to encourage cell turnover and promote an even skin tone.
  6. Pat a pea-sized amount of Ideal Complex® Revitalizing Eye Gel or Ideal Complex® Restorative Eye Cream around the delicate eye area and directly to the eyelid.
  7. Apply a small amount of HydraLuxe for nourishing evening moisture.
  8. For the lips, apply Hyaluronic Acid Lip Booster.

Tip: For an advanced weekly treatment you may blend two pumps of the  Pigment Gel®  HQ Free with a small amount of Intensive Brightening Treatment: 0.5% pure retinol night and apply over the entire area of treatment in the evening.
