Combination Skin: Protect from UV Exposure
How to Treat
Sun-exposed skin can gradually lose moisture and essential oils, making it appear dry, flaky and prematurely wrinkled, even in younger patients. At the saem time the skin can be triggered to overproduce oil in certain areas, creating combination skin. It is a must to protect combination skin with a full broad spectrum block that also incorporates antioxidants and humectant ingredients. Apply a the SPF before going outdoors. If one is participating in outdoor activities it is recommended to use a water-resistant sunscreen that has a sun protection factor (SPF) of 30 or above, with a broad spectrum of protection against both UVA and UVB rays with the added protection of antioxidants and humectants in the formulation such as Ectoin®, sodium hyaluronate, silymarin and glycerin.
Don’t forget about protecting the lips! Apply a layer of SPF to lips prior to the application of any other lip product to ensure this delicate area of the face is protected as well.
