Dry Skin: Protect from UV Exposure

How to Treat

Sun-exposed skin can gradually lose moisture and essential oils, making it appear dry, flaky and prematurely wrinkled, even in younger patients. It is a must to protect dry skin with a full broad spectrum block that also incorporates antioxidants and humectant ingredients. Apply a the SPF before going outdoors. If one is participating in outdoor activities it is recommended to use a water-resistant sunscreen that has a sun protection factor (SPF) of 30 or above, with a broad spectrum of protection against both UVA and UVB rays with the added protection of antioxidants and humectants in the formulation such as Ectoin®, sodium hyaluronate, silymarin and glycerin.

Don’t forget about protecting the lips! Apply a layer of SPF to lips prior to the application of any other lip product to ensure this delicate area of the face is protected as well.
