Dehydrated Skin: Gently Exfoliate
How to Treat
Gentle exfoliating treatments will remove surface buildup without causing irritation. Exfoliation is an essential step in helping healthy skin cells to develop. Be careful not to over-exfoliate dry skin, which can cause the skin to overcompensate in response by triggering excess oil production. Alpha hydroxy acids, such as lactic acid is a natural constituant of our skin and gentle enough to clear away debris, increase hydration and smooth out rough texture so that other moisturizing ingredients may be absorbed. The use of anti-inflammatory, superficial chemical peels will also help to increase cell turnover, allowing for better skin and barrier function.
